CRYING OVER YOU is the true story of two boys, brothers, brought closer together by a bizarre mental illness that their father and his identical twin shared. Psychomotor epilepsy would turn their father and their uncle from the nicest, kindest, intelligent and funniest of men into monsters of such violence that they were even capable of killing, including murdering their own family.
The Seaborn family was a noted and wealthy family in Seattle. Hailing back to the earliest days of the city, the family had been prominent in both banking and yachting circles. With the birth of identical twins, John and Benjamin Seaborn, on April 11, 1914, both a combination of wonderful and violently ugly worlds were unleashed. Survival for the family of John Seaborn was largely accomplished by John's quick-thinking wife. Nora H. Seaborn had been a prominent lawyer and politician in Portland, Oregon. Using a combination of her quick-wits and many years of political connections, she was, for the most part, able to keep her family out of harms way.
On a couple of instances, however, the eldest son of John and Nora went directly up against his father's violent alter-ego in an effort to protect both his mother and younger brother. The first time was when the boy was just fourteen-years-old going up against a very tall and strong father who was so out of control he could have killed the entire family that night in March of 1969.
With the disappearance and reported death of John's older son, Charles, in October of 2013, the younger son, Christian, now shares the rather amazing story of how he, his brother and their mother survived the unsurvivable.
